Obsidian Armor Question
I am really confused by guildwiki. It says that there is Obsidian armor for every single armor type, such as Judge's, Wanderer's, Asthetic's, Saintly, etc. Yet I thought there was only one Obsidian armor, and the rest were 15k armor. Am I missing something here? Anyway, thanks!

All Obsidian armor has the exact same skin/cost, but you can get sets with different mods. (Judge's, Wanderer's, Saintly, etc. You can also get a set that can take Insignias)

Prophecies versions of Obsidian armor all use the same skin (per class). They just have the stats of their namesakes.

hockster kinda worded that badly.
regardless of what type of armor it is, it gets crafted from the same place and will have the same skin as all the others from each specific class. All the available sets from prophecies and factions have an adjective thrown on the front which defines the mods on the armor (like archmage or battlemage for ele armor). When nightfall came out, only one more set became available at the crafter, which had no adjective. Insignias can be applied to only this set of armor. so more than likely, the nightfall set is the one ppl will be picking up the most these days. |

When you say that they get crafted in the same place, do you mean the Fissure Of Woe? Because guildwiki says that Judges is crafted in The Granite Citadel, while Saintly is crafted in Marhan's Grotto. Am I missing something? Or am I just being stupid?

Those two armor sets you are talking about aren't FoW armor, they are just other sets of 15K armor and those have a different skin. Wiki says that every functionality is available for FoW armor which is crafterd in the fissure, but there are also sets of what they call ascended armor out there that don't have the FoW skin and that are less expensive in term of craftings. Also note that for prophecies a type of armor usually has a different skin depending on it's stats, the only exception to that being FoW armor that has the same skin for every stats FoW being considered a core area anyways.

So now that I know that FoW armor is generic in stats, what are the possible stats to give an empty FoW armor piece?

You can add any insignia specific to your profession or any insignia that is common to all profession such ad radiant, survivor, brawler etc. Using an empty FoW armor piece and putting insignias on it will allow you to have mods that aren't available for some professions in the prophecies and factions campaign. The first example that comes to mind is an elementalist with radiant insignia (+energy) while it's pretty useless imo its a good example.
